Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said – Work from home for IT companies will be extended till 31 July

In the midst of the coronavirus COVID-19 panic, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday expressed that telecommute for the IT organizations will be stretched out till July 31, including that 85 percent work of the IT is being done from home. Prior, the work from home was scheduled to end on April 30. Prasad had a conversation, by means of video conferencing, with the state IT Ministers and authorities.

To move rapidly towards promoting electronics manufacturing through investment promotion initiatives. He said that India has immense potential in the field of electronics manufacturing and states should take advantage of it.

Prasad said this during a video-conference conversation with IT ministers of the states regarding the Corona virus epidemic. Prasad said that the states highly appreciated the Arogya Setu app and assured that a similar solution for feature phones would be developed and launched soon.

The Union Electronics and IT Minister said that his ministry is constantly monitoring fake news on social media platforms and they are being dealt with vigorously.
